Bangladesh was held to a low total by Pakistan’s outstanding bowlers, who took two wickets from Babar Ali and one each from Mohammad Salman and Matiullah. Pakistan’s chase was perfect, with openers Nisar Ali and Mohammad Safdar displaying outstanding batting skills to accomplish the target of 140 runs in 11 overs without losing a wicket. Safdar scored an impressive 47 not out, while Nisar remained undefeated at 72.

This triumph is remarkable because it ends India’s historical supremacy in the competition. Since the competition started in 2012, India has won all three prior iterations. Pakistan broke their winning streak by lifting the title at home.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the team’s remarkable performance, noting Nisar and Safdar’s achievements. He expressed hope for the team’s future success and applauded the management. This victory is a proud moment for cricket fans in Pakistan.
